Fr. Anthony grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago where he attended church at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church in Niles, IL. Because of the immersive liturgical lifestyle of the community of St. Haralambos, it was there he fell in love with the art, architecture, liturgics and music of the Orthodox Church. Upon graduating from high school, he attended North Park University, where he focused his schooling on History and Middle Eastern Studies. In his Junior year he felt the call to serve the church and transfered to Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. It was there that he finished his undergratuate studies in Religious studies in 2012, and graduated with his Masters of Divinity in 2015.
Since graduating, Fr. Anthony has served in several parishes as Youth director, most recently at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Church in Oklahoma City, where he served from January 2020 through July 2024. Fr. Anthony married his wife, Elizabeth, in Greenwood, Mississippi in October of 2022. He was then ordained to the Holy Diaconate by His Grace Bishop JOHN on February 4, 2024, and to the Holy Priesthood by His Eminence Metropolitan SABA on April 28 (Palm Sunday) 2024.
He has been serving the comunity of St. George, Cedar Rapids since August 2024.
